About the role
Sagar Vitaceuticals Nigeria Limited is seeking a Quality Assurance (QA) Officer to join their team in Makun City, Ogun. This full-time position reports to the Assistant Quality Assurance Manager or Quality Assurance Manager. The role focuses on ensuring the quality, safety, and consistency of pharmaceutical products by supporting the company’s Quality Management System (QMS). You will help ensure that manufacturing, packaging, and storage operations comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Documentation Practices (GDP), and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Monitor compliance with GMP requirements, including contamination prevention and personnel hygiene.
- Review batch manufacturing and packaging records for accuracy and completeness.
- Conduct line clearance checks and in-process quality assurance activities.
- Support the maintenance of the Quality Management System, including document control and CAPA tracking.
- Assist in investigating deviations, non-conformances, and quality incidents.
- Participate in internal audits and prepare records for regulatory inspections.
- Support product complaint, return, and recall processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree, HND, or relevant qualification in Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, or a related field.
- Minimum of 1–4 years of relevant experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing or Quality Assurance is preferred.
- Knowledge of GMP, GDP, data integrity principles, and SOP compliance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic documentation systems.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and good communication abilities.
