About the role
Moniepoint Incorporated is a global business payments and banking platform that supports over 600,000 businesses. As a Senior QA Engineer, you will play a key part in the product development process. Your main goal is to ensure software runs smoothly, meets client needs, and remains cost-effective before any product launch.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with product managers and developers to understand requirements and design specifications.
- Develop and implement comprehensive test strategies and detailed test plans.
- Create functional and integration test cases, and coordinate reviews with stakeholders to identify gaps.
- Execute test cases, publish reports, and communicate results to product and business teams.
- Track quality metrics such as defect density, test coverage, and open defect counts.
- Design and develop robust test automation approaches.
- Manage test scripts, configuration management, and the creation of mocks and stubs for isolated testing.
- Serve as the primary contact for Product Managers and Developers to ensure requirements are testable.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related engineering discipline.
- 7+ years of experience in Quality Engineering.
- Proven ability to write clear and comprehensive test plans.
- Strong programming skills in Java, TypeScript, or JavaScript with a focus on test automation.
- Experience testing APIs, microservices, mobile native, and web applications.
- Knowledge of SQL, NoSQL databases, and pub-sub technologies.
- Proficiency in Linux/Unix environments and cloud infrastructure (GCP, Docker).
- Experience in non-functional testing, including performance, security, and monitoring.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Harness).
- Familiarity with Jira, Postman, Playwright/Selenium, and RestAssured.
- Strong experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
