About the role
Benmaris Limited is recruiting on behalf of an LNG company to fill the position of QA/QC & HSE Manager. This is a full-time, contract-based role based in Abuja (FCT). You will play a key part in ensuring safety, quality, and environmental compliance across the project site.
Responsibilities
- Maintain registers for incidents, near-misses, and corrective actions, ensuring all items are closed out.
- Manage environmental and social compliance records while promoting stop-work authority.
- Coordinate with process-safety specialists and OEMs on hazard studies and safety safeguards.
- Implement the project HSE plan, including inductions, permit-to-work, and emergency response.
- Conduct risk-based site surveillance and witness designated hold and witness points.
- Develop and maintain the project quality plan, inspection plans, and acceptance criteria.
- Coordinate receipt inspections for equipment arriving from China and manage non-conformance reports.
Requirements
- 7+ years of QA/QC and HSE experience on oil and gas, process, or industrial construction projects.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, HSE, or a related discipline.
- Familiarity with Nigerian HSE and environmental regulations.
- Working knowledge of process safety, permit-to-work, and hazardous-area requirements.
- Recognised HSE qualification such as NEBOSH or IOSH.
- QA/QC inspector certification (e.g. CSWIP, ASNT, API) is an advantage.
