About the role
Hitech Construction Company Limited, a leading building and civil engineering contractor established in 1988, is looking for an experienced QA/QC Engineer. This full-time position is based in Lagos and requires a Nigerian resident. The role focuses on maintaining high quality standards in piling and structural works across various construction projects.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate with site engineers, subcontractors, and project teams to uphold quality standards.
- Review method statements, ITPs, test reports, and other quality documentation.
- Identify non-conformities and follow up on corrective actions.
- Implement and monitor QA/QC procedures for pile foundations, piers, pier caps, precast segments, and station buildings.
- Conduct inspections and quality checks to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and standards.
- Monitor materials, workmanship, and testing activities throughout project execution.
Requirements
- Practical experience with pile foundations, piers, pier caps, precast segments, and station buildings.
- Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Good attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a site-based environment.
- Proven QA/QC experience in piling and major structural works.
- Strong knowledge of construction inspection, testing, and quality control procedures.
