About the role
Marriott International is seeking a Purchasing Supervisor to join the team at the Sheraton Lagos Hotel. In this position, you will oversee purchasing operations, manage inventory levels, and ensure that all procurement activities align with company standards and local regulations.
Responsibilities
- Organize and distribute necessary documents and information to relevant staff.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of safety programs and local regulations.
- Adhere to food safety and handling policies across all food-related areas.
- Keep records clear and organized, ensuring proper filing of reports and invoices.
- Calculate figures for inventories, orders, and costs.
- Conduct inventory audits to determine levels and needs.
- Notify managers of low stock levels.
- Troubleshoot vendor delivery issues and oversee the return process.
- Verify and track received inventory, reconciling shipping invoices and receiving reports.
- Monitor PAR levels for food items and refuse damaged or incorrect items.
- Assist management in training, scheduling, and coaching employees.
- Ensure adherence to quality expectations and report any accidents or unsafe conditions.
Requirements
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- At least 2 years of related work experience.
- At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
- No specific license or certification required.
