About the role
FactBase Consulting Limited is a reputable organization based on Lagos Island. They specialize in the procurement, distribution, and promotion of literary materials, serving retail and wholesale customers across Nigeria and neighboring African countries. They are looking for an honest and experienced professional to join their team as a Purchasing Officer on a full-time basis.
Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end procurement process, including sourcing and evaluating suppliers.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing with vendors.
- Coordinate local and international purchases.
- Monitor inventory replenishment and track shipments.
- Liaise with freight forwarders and clearing agents to ensure timely delivery of quality products.
- Ensure all activities comply with organizational procurement policies.
Requirements
- B.Sc. or HND in Purchasing & Supply, Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of three years’ relevant experience in procurement or purchasing, preferably in retail or a related industry.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, inventory/procurement systems, and ERP software is an added advantage.
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, and organizational skills.
- High level of integrity and attention to detail.
