About the role
Excel and Grace Consulting is a certified management consultancy with over 18 years of experience serving small and medium-scale enterprises across Africa, Europe, and North America. We are currently hiring a Project Manager to oversee construction projects from inception to completion.
This full-time position is based in Oil Mill, Port Harcourt. You will ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Manage project costs and report on budget performance.
- Serve as the primary contact for clients and submit regular progress reports to management.
- Plan and mobilize projects, including equipment, labor, materials, and site setup.
- Monitor progress against the schedule and address delays promptly.
- Enforce Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) compliance on all sites.
- Supervise daily site activities, including site engineers, foremen, and workers.
- Ensure work meets engineering standards and client specifications.
- Review drawings, specifications, and Bills of Quantities (BOQ) to establish project baselines.
Requirements
- B.Eng or B.Sc in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- 8–10 years of experience in construction, with at least 3–5 years in a project management role.
- Proven experience delivering projects in the oil and gas sector.
- COREN registration is required.
- PMP or similar certification is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of HSE standards and site safety management.
- Ability to manage multiple sites simultaneously.
- Good leadership, problem-solving, and client management skills.
