About the role
Efficacy Development PLC is a leading real estate and construction company headquartered in Lagos, Nigeria. With over 17 years of experience, the company has delivered housing, commercial, and infrastructure projects that have improved communities and transformed skylines. They are looking for a Project Architect to join their team in Ikoyi, Lagos, on a full-time basis.
The successful candidate will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver sustainable, functional, and aesthetically pleasing developments. This role involves preparing architectural designs, detailed working drawings, and statutory approval documentation while ensuring projects meet client requirements and industry standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform all phases of architectural work, including planning, design development, documentation, and construction supervision.
- Prepare detailed floor plans, site plans, elevations, sections, and other construction documentation.
- Develop architectural concepts and solutions that meet client requirements and project objectives.
- Produce detailed architectural drawings and specifications using software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, 3D Max, and Lumion.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable building codes, regulations, and planning requirements.
- Prepare and submit approval drawings and supporting documents for statutory approvals and building permits.
- Communicate approved design changes to Project Managers and stakeholders within 24 hours of approval.
- Conduct site inspections from project inception through completion to ensure compliance with approved drawings.
- Prepare and submit site inspection reports within 48 hours of every site visit.
- Deliver complete architectural designs within 24 hours for simple projects and 7 days for complex projects after receipt of a sketch.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Architecture.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of relevant architectural design and construction experience.
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Lumion, 3D Max, and other architectural software applications.
- Good understanding of building regulations, planning approvals, and construction processes.
- Professional membership with relevant architectural bodies is an added advantage.
- Strong communication, presentation, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
