About the role
Owolabi University is a newly established private university in Osun State, Nigeria. The institution was licensed by the National Universities Commission (NUC) on June 29, 2026. It aims to widen access to quality higher education and prepare graduates for a fast-changing world. The university is currently operating from its take-off site in Osogbo.
This position is within the Faculty of Science and Computing. The role is preparatory to the commencement of full academic activities.
Responsibilities
- Teach and supervise students in Software Engineering.
- Conduct research and attract research grants or fellowships.
- Supervise Postgraduate students.
- Contribute to academic leadership and administrative duties.
Requirements
- Ph.D. Degree from a reputable university with specialization in Software Engineering.
- Minimum of 12 years of post-qualification experience.
- Minimum of 25 scholarly publications in reputable journals in the related field.
- Evidence of successful supervision of Postgraduate students.
- Evidence of academic leadership.
- Full-time relevant teaching, research, and administrative experience.
- Proven ability to attract research grants or fellowships.
