About the role
Moniepoint Incorporated is a global business payments and banking platform serving over 600,000 businesses. We are looking for a Product Auditor to provide independent assurance over the design, implementation, and operating effectiveness of product controls. This role focuses on payment, wallet, settlement, and switch products to ensure they are deployed with adequate financial, operational, security, and regulatory controls.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a risk-based Product Audit Universe and own the annual audit plan.
- Review Product Requirement Documents (PRDs) and transaction workflows to identify logic gaps and risk paths before go-live.
- Assess live payment products to detect configuration drift and analyze transaction data for emerging risks.
- Execute pre-production audits as an independent control gate for material releases.
- Use SQL to interrogate the Fee Engine and verify the mathematical integrity of commissions, VAT, and splits.
- Trace fund flows to confirm synchronization between wallet sub-ledgers and the General Ledger.
- Assess controls over vendor-managed components and third-party API behaviors.
- Lead post-incident reviews and ensure compliance with CBN guidelines, PCI DSS, and consumer protection obligations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Finance, or a related quantitative discipline.
- 3–5+ years of experience in Product Audit, Systems Audit, Financial Data Analytics, or Payment Operations within fintech or financial services.
- Advanced SQL skills for independent data extraction and transaction interrogation.
- Strong knowledge of payment systems architecture, including wallets, card processing, and settlement.
- Familiarity with IIA Standards, COSO framework, and Nigerian regulatory requirements (CBN, NDPR).
- Certifications such as CISA, CIA, or CFE are preferred.
