About the role

Dame Irene Okwusoa Memorial Hospital (DIOMH) is a world-class multispecialty hospital with a special interest in Cardiothoracic and Cardiovascular care. We are looking for a Procurement & Contract Officer to join our team in Oraifite, Anambra. This full-time position focuses on managing procurement delivery, governance, and contract administration for both the hospital and SEOF programmes.

Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end procurement of pharmaceuticals, medical equipment, facility services, and general items for DIOMH and SEOF.
  • Enforce procurement governance, including PO discipline, segregation of duties, and compliance with Supply Chain Governance Board requirements.
  • Qualify healthcare suppliers through due diligence and maintain an Approved Vendor List with valid regulatory registrations.
  • Develop sourcing strategies, prepare contracts, and monitor contract performance, renewals, and close-outs.
  • Maintain a price database, negotiate value for money, and monitor spend against approved budgets.
  • Coordinate demand planning, delivery inspection, and quality assurance with end-user departments.
  • Ensure all transactions are recorded in GEP/SAP or approved interim systems for audit traceability.
  • Uphold ethics, risk management, and Occupational Health, Safety, and Environmental policies.

Requirements

While specific academic qualifications are not listed in the job description, candidates must demonstrate the ability to:

  • Manage complex procurement processes and contract administration.
  • Enforce governance controls and segregation of duties.
  • Conduct supplier due diligence and regulatory compliance checks (e.g., NAFDAC, PCN).
  • Negotiate commercial terms and manage stakeholder relationships.
  • Apply Group SCM SOPs and maintain accurate records.
