We are looking for a Practice Lead, Cybersecurity to serve as the executive leader responsible for protecting the enterprise and enabling secure business growth. This role sits at the intersection of technology, risk, and business, ensuring security acts as a business enabler for growth, trust, and market expansion.
Responsibilities
- Enterprise Security Strategy: Provide regular Board and EXCO reporting on cyber risk posture and lead the scaling of a high-performing security organization.
- Platform Security: Ensure end-to-end security for digital banking platforms (RedApp) and enterprise platforms (Converge), driving DevSecOps adoption across the software development lifecycle.
- Risk Management: Oversee data protection and identify, assess, and mitigate risks across infrastructure, applications, and third-party integrations.
- Security Operations: Build and lead a 24/7 SOC capability, oversee vulnerability management, threat detection, and lead cyber incident response.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with NDPA/NDPR, ISO 27001, PCI-DSS, and the CBN Cybersecurity Framework, serving as the primary interface with regulators.
- Infrastructure Security: Oversee endpoint, network, and cloud security, implementing Identity & Access Management (IAM) and Zero Trust architecture.
- Security Culture: Embed security into employee behavior and drive enterprise-wide cybersecurity awareness programs.
Requirements
- Master’s degree (MBA / MSc Cybersecurity) or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or a related field.
- 12–15+ years in cybersecurity, with 5+ years in senior leadership roles.
- Proven experience in technology or financial services environments building and scaling enterprise security programs.
- Strong experience engaging Boards, regulators, and executive teams.
- Certifications: CISSP and/or CISM (required). Additional certifications such as CISA, CRISC, CEH, or CCSP are an advantage.
- Technical Skills: Threat detection, cybersecurity architecture, IAM, DevSecOps, and cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Leadership Skills: Executive presence, stakeholder management, strategic thinking, and crisis leadership.
