About the role
Bridge Waters Investment is a diversified investment and services company focused on sustainable growth and strategic opportunities. We are currently seeking experienced Piling Rig Operators to join our team in Ibeju-Lekki (Lagos), Sango Ota, and Abeokuta (Ogun). This is a full-time position with three openings available.
Responsibilities
- Operate piling rigs and heavy-duty drilling equipment for foundation construction.
- Monitor drilling progress, ground conditions, and borehole stability throughout operations.
- Position and align rigs accurately over designated pile locations before drilling.
- Assist with the installation and removal of temporary casings to maintain stability.
- Control drilling operations, including auger drilling and casing installation.
- Identify and report underground obstructions, groundwater encounters, or drilling difficulties to supervisors.
- Ensure accurate pile positioning and verticality in collaboration with engineers and surveyors.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years’ proven practical experience operating bored piling rigs on civil or foundation engineering projects.
- Relevant technical training or certification in Piling Rig Operation, Heavy Equipment Operation, or a related field.
- Ability to interpret construction drawings, piling specifications, and site operational procedures.
- Sound understanding of piling rig components, hydraulic systems, and drilling tools.
- Knowledge of soil conditions, drilling resistance, and foundation construction requirements.
