About the role
Castville Solutions is recruiting a Pharmacy Assistant to join their team in Ada George, Port Harcourt. This is a full-time position focused on supporting daily pharmacy operations and providing excellent customer care. The ideal candidate is neat, customer-focused, and highly proficient in administering injections safely.
Responsibilities
- Monitor stock levels and report low stock, expired, or damaged goods.
- Maintain accurate injection and sales records.
- Ensure strict infection control and safe disposal of needles and syringes.
- Attend to customers, process sales, issue receipts, and operate the POS machine.
- Assist the Superintendent Pharmacist in dispensing prescriptions and counseling customers on OTC drugs.
- Receive, verify, and arrange incoming drugs, ensuring proper labeling and expiry monitoring.
- Administer Intramuscular (IM), Intravenous (IV), and Subcutaneous injections as prescribed.
Requirements
- 1-2 years of experience as a pharmacy assistant in a retail or community pharmacy.
- OND / Pharmacy Technician, CHEW, or Nursing Assistant qualification.
- Excellent customer service, communication, and drug knowledge skills.
- Must reside near the work location and be ready to start immediately.
- High proficiency in giving injections, which will be tested practically at the interview.
- Must be neat, honest, polite, and able to follow the pharmacist’s instructions.
