About the role
Coker Farms is looking for an experienced Pen Manager to oversee daily poultry operations in Abeokuta, Ogun. This full-time position focuses on maintaining high standards of hygiene, biosecurity, and bird welfare to support efficient production.
Responsibilities
- Supervise pen attendants and assign daily tasks.
- Administer medications and vaccinations as directed by the veterinary team.
- Ensure proper cleaning, sanitation, and hygiene of all pens.
- Maintain accurate records of feed intake, mortality, and pen performance.
- Monitor bird health, feeding, water consumption, and environmental conditions.
- Report unusual bird behavior or health concerns promptly.
- Ensure strict compliance with farm biosecurity and safety procedures.
- Support bird stocking and de-stocking operations.
Requirements
- OND, HND, or Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture, Animal Science, or a related field.
- 2–4 years of experience in poultry or livestock management.
- Good knowledge of poultry operations and pen management.
- Ability to work independently and manage teams effectively.
- Physically fit and willing to work in a farm environment.
- Strong leadership, discipline, and attention to detail.
