About the role
Daughters of Charity of St. Vincent de Paul Hospital is a faith-based facility in Kubwa, Abuja, dedicated to providing high-quality healthcare services. The hospital aims to bridge the gap between formal public health services and the needs of the community, particularly in rural areas. We are currently seeking a compassionate and skilled Pediatric Nurse to join our team on a full-time basis.
Responsibilities
- Assess, monitor, and deliver high-quality nursing care to infants, children, and adolescents.
- Conduct patient assessments and monitor vital signs.
- Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as prescribed.
- Assist in diagnostic tests and procedures for pediatric patients.
- Educate parents and caregivers on child health, nutrition, and disease prevention.
- Provide emotional support to children and families during treatment.
- Collaborate with pediatricians and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with healthcare standards.
- Implement infection control and safety protocols in pediatric care.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse (RN) and Registered Pediatric Nurse Certification from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience in pediatric nursing.
- Must be registered with the National Association of Nurses and Midwifery of Nigeria and licensed to practice as a Pediatric Nurse.
- Strong knowledge of child growth and development, immunization schedules, and pediatric emergencies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient care skills.
