About the role
Vampa Technologies is recruiting a Pattern Cutter for a leading Nigerian luxury fashion house. The brand is known for its bridal couture, bespoke tailoring, and premium ready-to-wear collections. This full-time position is based in Victoria Island, Lagos, with a work schedule from Monday to Saturday.
Responsibilities
- Translate design concepts, sketches, and measurements into accurate garment patterns.
- Develop and modify patterns for bridal gowns, bespoke outfits, and ready-to-wear collections.
- Take and interpret body measurements to ensure accurate sizing and fitting.
- Prepare fabric layouts to maximize material usage and minimize waste.
- Cut fabrics, linings, and interfacings with precision, including delicate materials like lace, silk, and organza.
- Collaborate with designers and tailors to achieve the desired garment structure.
- Maintain organized records of patterns and cutting specifications.
Requirements
- Diploma or technical qualification in Fashion Design, Pattern Making, Garment Technology, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of pattern cutting experience, preferably in luxury fashion or bridal couture.
- Strong knowledge of garment construction, pattern development, and fitting.
- Experience working with luxury fabrics and intricate designs.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills.
