About the role
International Breweries Plc is seeking a Packaging Team Leader to join our team in Sagamu, Ogun. In this full-time position, you will lead shift-based teams to execute production plans effectively. You will ensure that performance criteria for quality, cost, delivery, safety, and morale are met while maintaining high standards in safety, quality, and environmental compliance.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage shift-based teams to deliver the packaging plan.
- Drive and maintain VPO implementation across the department.
- Continuously improve performance in quality, cost, delivery, safety, and morale.
- React promptly to negative trends and out-of-control situations.
- Maintain safety, quality, and environmental standards.
- Manage team MCRS and support/coach team members.
- Develop, track, and monitor team performance indicators and KPIs.
- Participate in problem-solving activities and represent the team during milestone audits.
Requirements
- B.Sc. or HND in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- 2-5 years of experience in a packaging process environment.
- Analytical and systematic thinking ability for effective problem-solving.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to facilitate problem-solving in a team forum.
- Strong leadership skills and a bias for action.
- Computer literacy and attention to detail.
- Ability to lead meetings, make presentations, and make decisions.
- High level of resilience and ability to operate in a high-pressure environment.
- Ability to work shifts and manage people effectively.
