About the role
Ascentech Services Limited is seeking an experienced professional to lead fresh food operations for their client. This full-time position is based in Enugu and focuses on maintaining high standards of product quality, food safety, and customer service across all fresh food categories.
Responsibilities
- Monitor sales, margins, and departmental costs while preparing performance reports.
- Lead, train, and develop team members to meet operational targets.
- Drive sales growth and improve departmental profitability.
- Manage inventory, expiries, waste, and stock losses effectively.
- Ensure strict compliance with food safety, hygiene, and cold chain standards.
- Oversee daily operations, stock replenishment, and merchandising.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Business Administration, Food Science, Retail Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in fresh food retail, supermarket operations, or FMCG.
- Proven experience managing categories such as produce, butchery, fish, dairy, or deli.
- Strong knowledge of food safety, merchandising, and waste control.
- Excellent leadership, inventory management, analytical, and communication skills.
