About the role
Vennote Technologies Limited is a technology company specializing in enterprise applications, managed services, and project management. We are looking for an experienced OSB Business Analyst to lead the migration of our Oracle Service Bus (OSB) estate to WSO2 Micro Integrator (MI). In this role, you will act as the functional bridge between telecom business owners, the OSB support team, and the WSO2 build team. You will own the analysis of the current OSB environment and define how each service maps to its WSO2 MI target, ensuring that migrated services adhere to new API standards.
Responsibilities
- Conduct a comprehensive as-is analysis of the OSB estate, including proxy services, pipelines, transformations, and adapters.
- Reverse-engineer undocumented services into functional specifications, detailing purpose, consumers, message flows, and error handling.
- Map each OSB service to its corresponding telecom business process and BSS/OSS application.
- Define the target mapping for OSB constructs to WSO2 MI components such as APIs, sequences, mediators, and connectors.
- Produce migration specifications and acceptance criteria, identifying functional gaps and proposing solutions.
- Establish and govern API standards for the migrated layer, including REST/OpenAPI design guidelines, security, and error models.
- Collaborate with developers, testers, and architects throughout the migration SDLC, supporting SIT/UAT and production cut-over.
- Act as the single functional point of contact between business units and the migration team, reporting status and managing scope changes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 8+ years of overall experience in IT integration, with at least 5 years of hands-on experience with Oracle SOA Suite / Oracle Service Bus (11g/12c).
- 3+ years of experience analyzing OSB estates, including service inventory, reverse-engineering, and impact analysis.
- Working knowledge of WSO2 Micro Integrator (MI) or WSO2 Enterprise Integrator (EI) concepts, including APIs, sequences, and mediators.
- Proven experience defining REST/OpenAPI design standards and converting SOAP/WSDL contracts to REST APIs.
- Extensive knowledge of telecom domain processes such as order management, provisioning, billing, and CRM.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to explain integration behavior to business stakeholders.
- Preferred certifications include Oracle SOA Suite, WSO2 Certified Micro Integrator Developer, and TM Forum certifications.
