Amaiden Energy Nigeria Limited is seeking an Operations – Waste Management Coordinator II to join their team in Lagos. The company, established in 1996, operates in the Nigerian Oil and Gas Industry. This role focuses on overseeing waste management processes for upstream and downstream operations, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the planning, coordination, and monitoring of solid and liquid waste management for operations.
- Supervise the day-to-day implementation of waste services by third-party contractors.
- Ensure client standards and waste disposal procedures are followed by staff and contractors.
- Conduct risk assessments on hazardous materials and provide safety guideline training.
- Ensure compliance with local and national laws regarding safe handling, storage, and disposal of waste.
- Implement strategies to reduce waste generation.
Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Applied Science, Environmental Management, or equivalent.
- Safety leadership qualifications or certifications.
- Incident investigation training (e.g., Taproot).
- Experience in environmental and/or waste management, with remote experience preferred.
- Experience supervising contractors in dynamic or unpredictable environments.
- Knowledge of spill response, cleanup, and reporting.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in extreme or remote environments.
