About the role
Lightread Consulting is seeking an experienced and responsible Operations Supervisor to oversee daily restaurant operations in Gbagada Phase 1, Lagos. This is a part-time position with a one-day-on, one-day-off schedule (15 working days per month). The role involves supervising staff, maintaining service standards, and ensuring smooth business operations. Female candidates are preferably considered.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily restaurant operations and ensure smooth service delivery.
- Manage and monitor staff performance, attendance, and productivity.
- Ensure excellent customer service and promptly resolve customer complaints.
- Monitor food quality, hygiene, cleanliness, and safety standards.
- Ensure proper handling of cash, stock, equipment, and other company resources.
- Monitor inventory and report shortages or operational issues.
- Coordinate staff duties and ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Prepare daily operational reports and provide updates to management.
- Support the team in achieving sales and operational targets.
- Ensure the restaurant is properly opened and closed according to company procedures.
Requirements
- 2–3 years of experience in a Supervisor or higher role within a restaurant, fast-food, or hospitality business.
- Candidates with experience from Smokey Jollof are highly prioritised.
- Experience from reputable restaurant/fast-food brands such as Chicken Republic, Sweet Sensation, The Place, Bukka Hut, Mega Chicken, Mama Cass, KFC, or similar establishments will also be considered.
- Strong leadership, communication, and people-management skills.
- Good knowledge of restaurant operations and customer service.
- Ability to work independently and take responsibility for daily operations.
- Must be organised, proactive, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
