About the role
Captain Residency Hotel is looking for an experienced Operations Manager to join our team in Sabo Yaba, Lagos. This is a full-time position where you will work closely with the General Manager to drive revenue growth, enhance guest satisfaction, and improve operational efficiency. You will oversee the smooth running of all hotel departments, ensuring a seamless experience for our business and leisure travelers.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate activities across front office, housekeeping, food and beverage, and maintenance departments.
- Implement strategies to improve guest satisfaction and address complaints effectively.
- Provide training and development opportunities for department heads and staff.
- Ensure effective communication between departments and adherence to hotel policies.
- Assist with budgeting, cost control, and implementing cost-saving initiatives.
- Work with the General Manager on revenue-generating initiatives such as promotions and events.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
Requirements
- A degree in Hospitality, Business, Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in hotel operations, preferably in a management role.
- Strong leadership and management skills to motivate and inspire staff.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify areas for improvement.
- Knowledge of hotel operations including front office, housekeeping, F&B, and maintenance.
