About the role
Talent Management Alliance (TMAsourcing Solutions) is recruiting on behalf of a logistics company in Isolo, Lagos. This full-time position involves overseeing daily operational activities, coordinating cargo movement, and supervising operational staff. The role requires working Monday to Saturday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Responsibilities
- Support the development and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Liaise with shipping lines, freight partners, and logistics providers to facilitate smooth operations.
- Oversee operational activities to ensure timely delivery and efficient resource utilisation.
- Supervise and coordinate terminal staff, ensuring tasks are properly assigned and executed.
- Coordinate daily logistics and cargo operations, including the loading, unloading, and movement of air and sea freight.
- Identify operational challenges, resolve issues promptly, and recommend process improvements.
- Maintain accurate operational records, documentation, and performance reports.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment and facilities to ensure safety and functionality.
- Monitor compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Minimum of HND in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related discipline.
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in logistics, shipping, freight, terminal operations, or a related field.
- Excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong knowledge of operational procedures, reporting, documentation, and compliance.
- Proven experience supervising staff and coordinating cargo or logistics operations.
- Ability to multitask, manage competing priorities, and work effectively under pressure.
- Professional certifications in logistics or shipping will be an added advantage.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and Google Workspace is an added advantage.
