About the role
DET Consulting & Outsourcing Limited is looking for an experienced Operational Accountant to join their team in Atan, Ogun. This full-time position offers a monthly salary between N350,000 and N400,000, with accommodation available. The role requires a professional with a strong background in the recycling sector or a related FMCG industry.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting transactions, general ledger entries, and financial records.
- Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with tax and accounting regulations.
- Reconcile bank statements, accounts payable/receivable, and general ledger accounts.
- Prepare monthly financial statements, management reports, and cash flow forecasts.
- Monitor production costs, operating expenses, budgets, and profitability.
- Track inventory, raw materials, finished goods, and stock movements.
- Support budgeting, financial analysis, and audit processes.
Requirements
- B.Sc. or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Mandatory previous experience in a recycling company or related FMCG industry.
- Strong knowledge of inventory accounting, cost accounting, and financial reporting.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Sage 50, Sage 300, QuickBooks, or TallyPrime.
- Knowledge of ERP systems and inventory management modules is an advantage.
