About the role
EFL Logistics Limited is a bonded off-dock terminal provider seeking an experienced Operations Manager. You will lead the safe and efficient management of terminal operations, including gate, yard, quayside, and export stuffing activities. This full-time position is based in Ikorodu, Lagos.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily terminal operations, including gate, yard, barge, and export activities.
- Ensure accurate Terminal Operating System (TOS) records, EDI transmissions, and operational reporting.
- Monitor yard capacity, container stock accuracy, and truck turnaround time.
- Manage relationships with shipping lines, customers, and other operational stakeholders.
- Monitor operational KPIs, control costs, and drive continuous process improvements.
- Ensure equipment availability and coordinate preventive maintenance activities.
- Manage workforce planning, equipment deployment, and operational resources.
- Lead operational teams and deputize for the General Manager when required.
- Ensure compliance with HSE policies, operational procedures, and safety standards.
Requirements
- 8–10 years of relevant experience in container terminals, ports, inland container depots (ICDs), or logistics operations.
- Minimum of 3 years in a supervisory or management position.
- Bachelor’s degree or HND in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of terminal operations, TOS, EDI, container inventory management, and HSE requirements.
- Proven leadership, operational planning, cost management, and problem-solving skills.
- Relevant professional certifications are an added advantage.
