About the role
Tutorszone is an online tutoring platform dedicated to providing world-class education to African children in the diaspora. We are looking for a passionate and tech-savvy Online French Tutor to join our team on a part-time, remote basis. You will deliver engaging virtual lessons that help students build confidence and achieve academic success.
Responsibilities
- Deliver structured and interactive online lessons to students.
- Prepare lesson plans aligned with the curriculum.
- Assess student performance and provide constructive feedback.
- Utilize digital tools such as slides, whiteboards, and videos effectively.
- Maintain a professional and distraction-free teaching environment.
- Ensure punctuality and consistency for all scheduled classes.
- Upload lesson materials and reports as required.
- Communicate student progress with parents or guardians when necessary.
Requirements
- Education: Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a relevant field. Teaching certifications are an added advantage.
- Experience: At least 2 years of teaching experience (online or offline). Experience working with children or teenagers is required. Familiarity with international curricula (e.g., British, Canadian) is a plus.
- Equipment: A reliable laptop, stable internet connection, and a headset with clear audio are mandatory.
- Skills: Strong communication and classroom management skills, proficiency with online teaching tools (Zoom, Google Meet), and the ability to simplify complex concepts.
- Other: Willingness to undergo training and class observation, and a quiet, professional teaching environment.
