About the role
The Kids’ Court School and Court Hill College is an international school with a strong reputation for preparing students for success. We are looking for a dedicated Nursery School Teacher to join our team in Surulere, Lagos. This is a full-time position where you will support the head class teacher in delivering high-quality education and ensuring the well-being of young pupils.
Responsibilities
- Assist the head class teacher in delivering lessons and monitoring class activities.
- Ensure pupils follow established class routines and procedures.
- Check and correct classwork assigned by the class teacher.
- Manage the safe and efficient use of learning resources and equipment.
- Support individualized and group teaching methods.
- Communicate pupil progress to the class teacher.
- Ensure all learning materials are packed away at the end of each lesson and day.
- Ensure the safety of pupils’ belongings and monitor their safety within and outside the classroom.
- Receive pupils and ensure homework is submitted.
- Record daily class attendance and report absences to the class teacher.
- Reconcile minor conflicts and report disciplinary issues to the class teacher.
- Teach the class in the absence of the class teacher.
- Prepare interactive whiteboards, laptops, and various learning materials including Montessori materials where applicable.
- Mark classwork and homework.
- Maintain a neat classroom environment.
- Commit to your own professional development.
Requirements
- Relevant qualifications and experience in teaching.
- Working knowledge of the Montessori curriculum and its teaching methods.
