About the role
Olam Agri is a global agri-business leader with over 33 years of experience in food, feed, and fiber. We are looking for a Non-Commodity Procurement Manager to join our Integrated Feed & Protein business in Ilorin (Soya), Kwara. This full-time position focuses on driving strategic sourcing, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring the timely availability of critical goods and services.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end procurement for engineering spares, services, logistics, and other non-commodity items.
- Manage procurement costs within approved budgets and deliver cost optimization through strategic negotiations.
- Drive supplier performance using KPIs, SLAs, and strategic partnerships.
- Leverage ERP systems and digital procurement tools to improve efficiency and transparency.
- Ensure quality and timely availability of engineering spares and services.
- Mitigate supply chain risks through contingency sourcing and proactive planning.
- Build, coach, and develop high-performing procurement teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- MBA/Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, or a related discipline is preferred.
- 5–7 years of end-to-end procurement experience, preferably in manufacturing, FMCG, industrial, or multinational environments.
- Proven track record in supplier negotiations, strategic sourcing, and procurement transformation projects.
- Experience in Capex, engineering spares, logistics, freight, service contracts, and indirect procurement.
- Knowledge of EXIM processes, customs clearance, and procurement documentation.
- CIPS, CPSM, or similar procurement certifications are an advantage.
