About the scholarship
The Shell Nigeria Exploration and Production Company Limited (SNEPCo), on behalf of itself, the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited, and its co-venture partners, is offering the 2026 NNPC/SNEPCo National University Scholarship Programme. This initiative aims to promote academic excellence and enhance the skills of young Nigerians. It provides a yearly grant to successful applicants from their second year until the completion of their undergraduate degree.

Who can apply
- Nigerian citizens.
- Students currently in their second year of full-time study at a public Nigerian university accredited by the NUC.
- Applicants must have a minimum CGPA of 3.5 in a 5-grade system or the equivalent.
- Candidates must not be beneficiaries of any other scholarship from an entity in the Oil and Gas industry, whether national or international.
- Female candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.
How to apply
Applications must be submitted online via the official scholarship portal by November 30, 2026. Ensure you have a valid personal email address and phone number. You will need to upload scanned copies of your passport-sized photograph, university admission letter, UTME result, O’Level and A’Level/OND/NCE results (as applicable), a letter of identification from your state of origin, and your academic results after completing 100 level. Only candidates who meet the eligibility criteria will be invited for a monitored computer-based test. The top 10 candidates from each of the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory will be shortlisted for academic verification.
