About the role
Our client, an expanding FMCG company, is preparing to launch and distribute its Seasonings, Snacks, and Breakfast products nationwide. They are seeking an experienced National Sales Manager to establish and lead these national sales operations. The role involves building distribution networks, managing sales teams, and driving sustainable revenue growth.
Responsibilities
- Establish and manage distributor, sub-distributor, and wholesale networks.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, and Operations teams.
- Set territory targets and monitor sales reporting and performance.
- Drive development in general trade, modern trade, and key accounts.
- Develop and execute national sales strategies and distribution plans.
- Drive revenue, volume, market penetration, and collections.
- Recruit, lead, and manage regional and field sales teams.
- Manage sales forecasting, stock availability, and distributor performance.
Requirements
- At least 5 years leading regional, multi-regional, or national sales operations.
- Minimum 12 years of progressive FMCG sales experience.
- Experience in pricing, margins, credit management, and collections.
- Demonstrable success in revenue growth, distribution expansion, and sales team management.
- Bachelor’s degree or HND in Marketing, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Strong knowledge of Nigerian general trade and open markets.
- Proven experience managing distributors, wholesalers, and key accounts.
- Seasonings and packaged food experience is preferred, though candidates from other FMCG categories with strong transferable distribution and product launch experience will also be considered.
