About the role
Total Data Limited is recruiting a Mobile Sales Representative (VSR) for a leading company in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry. This full-time position is based in Lagos, with assigned territories including Satellite Town, Ibeju Lekki, Marina, and Obalende. The successful candidate will drive sales, manage customer relationships, and ensure the safe and timely delivery of products.
Responsibilities
- Drive the company van safely to assigned territories and customer locations.
- Visit existing and prospective customers to generate sales and expand the customer base.
- Promote company products, explain features, and identify upselling opportunities.
- Receive and process customer orders, ensuring accurate and timely fulfilment.
- Collect customer payments where applicable and ensure accurate documentation.
- Monitor stock levels on the vehicle and report shortages or discrepancies promptly.
- Submit daily sales, stock, collection, and activity reports to the Sales Supervisor.
- Maintain accurate records of sales, deliveries, collections, and stock movement.
- Ensure the company vehicle is clean, roadworthy, and properly maintained.
- Achieve daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets within the assigned territory.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s licence with a good driving record.
- Minimum of SSCE / OND or equivalent qualification.
- 1–2 years of experience in van sales, route sales, FMCG sales, or distribution is preferred.
- Good knowledge of road networks within the assigned territory.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and customer service skills.
- Basic numerical, cash-handling, and record-keeping skills.
- Physically fit and able to load and unload products when required.
- Ability to work independently and manage sales routes to meet targets.
