About the role
Captain Residency Hotel is seeking a creative Mixologist / Bartender to join our team in Sabo Yaba, Lagos. This full-time position focuses on preparing high-quality alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages while ensuring a memorable guest experience. The role requires strong product knowledge, excellent customer service, and strict adherence to hygiene and safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve cocktails, mocktails, wines, beers, and spirits according to established recipes.
- Create signature cocktails and seasonal drink menus to enhance the guest experience.
- Verify guests meet the legal drinking age and promote responsible alcohol consumption.
- Monitor and replenish bar inventory to ensure adequate stock levels.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area before, during, and after service.
- Collaborate with servers, kitchen staff, and management for seamless service.
- Handle guest complaints professionally and escalate concerns when necessary.
- Follow all health, hygiene, and food safety regulations.
Requirements
- At least 2–5 years of experience as a Mixologist or Bartender in a reputable establishment.
- Strong knowledge of classic cocktails, premium spirits, wines, and non-alcoholic beverages.
- Minimum of an OND, SSCE, or equivalent qualification.
- Certification in Mixology, Bartending, or Hospitality is an added advantage.
- Creativity in developing unique drink recipes and strong customer service skills.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
