About the role
Diamond New Energy, also known as Ganfeng Lithium Industry Limited, is a leading mining and mineral processing company based in Nasarawa State, Nigeria. We focus on the exploration, extraction, and processing of lithium. We are currently seeking a dedicated Mining Safety Manager to join our team on-site in Endo Village.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) policies and procedures.
- Conduct site safety inspections, audits, incident investigations, and risk assessments.
- Monitor compliance with government regulations and company safety standards.
- Develop and deliver safety training, toolbox talks, and emergency response procedures.
- Supervise workers and maintain a zero-accident culture through continuous improvement.
Requirements
- MSc or Bachelor’s Degree in Geology, Mining Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing HSE policies.
- Knowledge of mining equipment, drilling, blasting, excavation, and heavy-duty machinery safety.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to train and supervise staff.
- Relevant professional HSE/Safety certification is an added advantage.
- Willingness to work on-site in Endo Village, Nasarawa LGA.
