About the role
Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDC) Plc is seeking a Meter Standard Officer to join their team in Ogun State. As a key field contact, you will coordinate the testing and maintenance of meters and related equipment. Your goal is to ensure the integrity of metering systems across the region.
Responsibilities
- Manage the installation of metering systems and units.
- Monitor and certify contractor installations to ensure they meet IBEDC standards and specifications.
- Perform maintenance on metering systems based on customer complaints and field reports from the Revenue Protection Unit.
- Conduct field visits for preventive maintenance and surveys for proper metering at customer premises.
- Provide technical assistance to the Revenue Protection Unit to detect energy theft during field operations.
- Support MD Team leads and CROs to ensure meters are properly installed.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related field.
- A postgraduate professional certificate in a relevant field.
- Membership of relevant professional bodies.
- At least 2 years of practical experience in commercial, metering, and energy analysis within a power company.
