About the role
Seven Up Bottling Company Limited is one of Nigeria’s largest beverage manufacturers, producing brands like Pepsi, 7Up, and Aquafina. The company operates nine bottling plants across the country and has recently expanded into the Home & Personal Care category with the 2SURE brand. We are looking for two Merchandising Managers to join our Modern Trade team in Abuja (FCT) and Abia.
Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with new Planograms and Point of Sale Materials (POSM).
- Oversee product presentation and visual merchandising to enhance the shopping experience.
- Create item and category plans, evaluating and updating assortments as needed.
- Analyze market trends, customer preferences, and sales data to guide product selection, pricing, and inventory.
- Conduct quarterly training and development sessions for merchandisers across all regions.
- Collaborate with product development, marketing, and sales teams to align strategies with business goals.
- Plan and execute merchandising strategies to optimize assortments and maximize sales.
- Monitor competitor activities and market trends to identify growth opportunities.
- Maintain accurate and timely reporting for upper management.
- Perform any other tasks assigned by management.
Requirements
- BSc or HND in Business Administration, Marketing, or a relevant field.
- At least 4 years of experience in merchandising management.
- Strong knowledge of market trends and principles.
- Good communication skills.
- Membership in relevant professional bodies.
- Goal-oriented and target-driven mindset.
- Excellent leadership and coaching skills.
- Strong negotiation skills.
