About the role
St. Ives Specialist Hospital is a leading multi-specialist healthcare facility established in 1996. We provide dedicated services in women’s health, children’s health, and family healthcare. Our team includes experienced consultants in Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Paediatrics, Medicine, and Surgery.
We are currently seeking a Medical Officer to join our team in Abeokuta, Ogun. This is a full-time position with a duty schedule from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The role comes with a monthly salary of ₦500,000, and accommodation is available in Abeokuta.
Responsibilities
- Adhere to relevant medical laws, regulations, and ethical standards.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings.
- Monitor patients’ progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
- Conduct medical examinations and assessments of patients.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records.
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses.
- Prescribe medications and other treatments as necessary.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including blood tests, X-rays, and MRIs.
- Provide counselling and health education to patients.
Requirements
Qualified candidates should have the necessary medical qualifications and experience to perform the duties listed above. Familiarity with multidisciplinary team environments and diagnostic procedures is expected.
