About the role
Heritage Kidney and Medical Care (HKMC) is a specialist healthcare institution in Abuja dedicated to comprehensive renal and related healthcare services. Established in 2009, the facility offers dialysis, kidney transplantation, renal laboratory services, and nephrology care. We are looking for a Medical Officer to join our team and help us maintain our commitment to clinical excellence and patient-centered care.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive medical assessments, including history taking, physical examinations, and interpretation of diagnostic results.
- Make accurate clinical diagnoses and develop, implement, and review appropriate treatment and care plans.
- Prescribe, administer, and monitor medications and therapeutic interventions in accordance with approved clinical guidelines.
- Provide prompt medical attention and effective response to emergencies, acute illnesses, and critical clinical situations.
- Monitor patient progress, evaluate treatment outcomes, and adjust management plans as clinically indicated.
- Maintain accurate, complete, and timely patient medical records in line with hospital and legal requirements.
- Collaborate with nurses, specialists, and other multidisciplinary team members to ensure continuity and quality of care.
Requirements
- MBBS or equivalent medical degree from a recognized institution.
- Full registration and current practicing license with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN).
- Minimum of 1 year post-NYSC clinical experience.
