They are currently recruiting a Medical Laboratory Scientist specializing in Chemical Pathology to join their team in Warri, Delta.
Responsibilities
- Perform and validate clinical chemistry tests using both manual and automated methods.
- Conduct internal quality control and support external quality assurance programmes.
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment.
- Maintain proper records, reagent inventory, and equipment logs.
- Follow laboratory safety, infection prevention, and quality management procedures.
- Review and report results accurately and promptly, escalating critical results appropriately.
- Work collaboratively with clinicians and other laboratory staff.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Science or an equivalent recognised qualification.
- Specialty training or experience in Chemical Pathology/Clinical Chemistry.
- Current professional licence and registration with the relevant regulatory body.
- At least two (2) years of post-NYSC experience.
- Ability to work shifts, where required.
- Strong attention to detail, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with automated chemistry analysers and laboratory information systems is an advantage.
