It runs residency training programs in family medicine and radiology, as well as housemanship and internship training in Pharmacy and Radiology. The hospital has multiple locations, including Benin, Warri, and Okuokoko.
We are looking for a dedicated Medical Doctor (Pre-NYSC) to join our healthcare team in Benin City. This is a part-time position focused on delivering excellent patient-centred services in line with established clinical standards.
Responsibilities
- Conduct patient consultations, physical examinations, and medical assessments.
- Diagnose illnesses and develop appropriate treatment plans.
- Prescribe medications and administer treatments according to clinical guidelines.
- Request and interpret laboratory tests, imaging studies, and other diagnostic investigations.
- Monitor patients’ progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Attend to medical emergencies and provide appropriate interventions.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records.
- Collaborate with nurses, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure effective patient care.
- Participate in clinical meetings, audits, training, and continuous professional development.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, clinical protocols, and applicable healthcare regulations.
- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, treatment options, and health maintenance.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or an equivalent recognised medical qualification.
- Registration: Valid registration and current practising licence with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN).
- Experience: Previous clinical experience in a hospital or healthcare facility is an advantage. Newly qualified doctors with the required qualifications and valid registration may also apply.
- Availability: Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required.
- Skills: Excellent clinical assessment, diagnostic, and decision-making skills; strong ethical judgment; good patient management and counselling skills; excellent documentation and time-management skills; ability to work under pressure and within a multidisciplinary team; strong communication and interpersonal skills.
