About the role

Kingtrust Medical Center is a private healthcare facility located on Ogunlana Drive, Surulere, Lagos. We are seeking a qualified Medical Doctor (MBBS) to join our team on a part-time basis. The role focuses on delivering patient-centered care, ensuring effective diagnosis and treatment, and maintaining a safe clinical environment.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive patient consultations, assessments, and physical examinations.
  • Diagnose and manage a wide range of medical conditions.
  • Prescribe medications and treatments in line with established clinical guidelines.
  • Attend to medical emergencies and provide prompt clinical intervention.
  • Educate patients and their families on diagnoses, treatment plans, and preventive healthcare.
  • Collaborate effectively with nurses and other healthcare professionals.
  • Monitor patients’ progress and adjust treatment plans when necessary.
  • Request and interpret laboratory and diagnostic investigations.
  • Maintain accurate, complete, and up-to-date patient medical records.
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, clinical guidelines, and infection prevention standards.
  • Provide appropriate referrals and coordinate care with specialists when required.

Requirements

  • Must be a qualified Medical Doctor (MBBS or equivalent).
  • Valid practicing license with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN).
  • Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills.
  • 2–5 years relevant clinical experience in a hospital setting (preferred).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
  • Strong knowledge of clinical medicine, diagnosis, and patient management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Compassionate and patient-focused approach.
