About the role
DKT International is a social marketing organization dedicated to providing safe and affordable family planning and HIV prevention options. We are seeking enthusiastic young science graduates with 1-2 years of relevant experience to join our team as Medical Detailers. This full-time position is available in Abuja (FCT), Lagos, and Rivers. You will play a key role in driving demand for our products by educating healthcare providers and vendors while supporting the sales team with order generation.
Responsibilities
- Medical and Product Detailing: Conduct regular visits to doctors, nurses, pharmacists, and PPMVs to explain product features, benefits, and appropriate use using approved materials.
- Customer Engagement: Build strong relationships with healthcare providers and maintain a database of customers within your assigned territory.
- Order Sourcing: Identify sales opportunities, source customer orders, and submit qualified leads to the Regional Sales Manager.
- Market Intelligence: Monitor competitor activities, report market concerns, and provide feedback on product availability and customer preferences.
- Territory Planning: Plan efficient visit schedules to meet call-frequency targets and maximize productive engagement.
- Reporting: Maintain accurate records of visits, leads, and orders, and submit weekly activity reports.
Requirements
- Science graduate with approximately 1-2 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in generating leads, sourcing orders, or working towards commercial targets is desirable.
- Exposure to pharmaceutical or healthcare product promotion.
- Ability to communicate effectively in relevant local languages within the assigned territory.
- Familiarity with CRM systems or sales-reporting applications is an advantage.
- Strong integrity, learning agility, persistence, and digital proficiency.
