About the role
Hello Products is an African personal and home care company based in Lagos State, Nigeria. As a member of Jagal Investments, we develop, manufacture, and distribute high-quality products that support healthier lives and safer homes across Africa. We are looking for a dedicated Mechanical Technician to join our team in Ikeja, Lagos.
Responsibilities
- Install and commission new machinery and equipment according to manufacturer and company specifications.
- Perform preventive, condition-based, and breakdown maintenance on mechanical equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems to minimize downtime and ensure operational reliability.
- Conduct root cause analysis and propose corrective actions for mechanical faults.
- Analyze equipment performance data to identify improvements and optimize machine efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, safety checks, and repairs.
- Collaborate with controllers, engineers, and production teams to resolve mechanical issues.
- Ensure strict compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the maintenance department.
Requirements
- HND or B.Sc in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in mechanical maintenance, preferably in the FMCG sector.
- Strong proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving mechanical faults.
