About the role
Priority Group is a marine logistics and engineering services company serving the oil and gas sector. We are looking for an experienced Marine Operations Superintendent to lead our marine operations in Port Harcourt. You will report directly to the Head of Operations and ensure all activities are safe, compliant, and cost-effective.
Responsibilities
- Plan and supervise daily marine operations, including vessel deployment and scheduling.
- Oversee vessel readiness, maintenance, and statutory documentation.
- Enforce health, safety, and environmental (HSSE) policies and conduct risk assessments.
- Manage crew scheduling, training, and performance evaluation.
- Ensure compliance with Nigerian maritime regulations, including NIMASA and NIWA requirements.
- Liaise with clients, port operators, and regulatory authorities.
- Monitor operational budgets and prepare performance reports.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or HND in Nautical Science, Marine Engineering, or a related field.
- 5–10 years of experience in marine operations or vessel management.
- 3–5 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of maritime safety and Nigerian regulatory standards.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
