About the role
Sales Force Consulting is seeking a highly qualified Managing Director for a Microfinance Bank located in Onitsha, Anambra State. The bank is undergoing a transformation following an acquisition by investors who aim to leverage high-level technology for accelerated market share growth. This is a full-time position requiring a candidate with the capacity to effectively transform the institution.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain effective marketing and public relations strategies to promote the bank’s products and services.
- Win new businesses and increase market share.
- Oversee the recruitment and hiring of competent personnel to achieve corporate goals.
- Report results to the Board on a quarterly and annual basis.
- Set company-wide KPIs to evaluate the bank’s performance periodically.
- Devise a 5-year corporate plan and business strategy to ensure efficient attainment of objectives.
- Set the overall strategic direction by leveraging financial technology for operations and market penetration.
- Set budgets and forecasts.
- Plan and implement long-term business strategies to achieve overall objectives.
Requirements
- First Degree or HND in Accounting, Banking and Finance, Statistics, Economics, or Social Sciences.
- Professional qualifications and certifications are mandatory.
- Certificate in Microfinance Banking issued by the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN).
- A minimum of 15 years of work experience in financial services, most of which must be in technology-driven MFBs.
- Proven record of success in senior management within the microfinance banking industry.
- Passion for using digital platforms for banking operations.
- Wide knowledge of microfinance banking industry dynamics and statutory requirements.
- Experience in managing liquidity, financial management, and wider management principles.
- Strong analytical, presentational, and leadership skills.
- Computer literacy with the ability to use diverse MFB operating software.
- High level of integrity, target-oriented, and hardworking.
- Must presently reside in the Onitsha axis or be able to procure accommodation easily.
