About the role
Flour Mills of Nigeria Plc is seeking a Management Accountant to join the Golden Sugar Company team in Lagos. This full-time position focuses on providing accurate financial analysis, budgeting, and cost monitoring to support business decisions across agricultural, factory, and support operations.
Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts within reporting timelines.
- Support the monthly financial close, including accruals, provisions, and inventory adjustments.
- Analyze financial performance, variances, and cost drivers to aid management decisions.
- Prepare annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and Latest Estimates with department heads.
- Conduct Budget vs Actual and Latest Estimate analysis, explaining significant variances.
- Analyze agricultural production and factory processing costs, including key cost drivers.
- Monitor workshop and maintenance overheads and provide cost analysis by department.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Membership in ICAN, ACCA, ACA, or CIMA.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in manufacturing or FMCG.
- Essential proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance or an equivalent ERP system.
- Strong Excel skills and financial modelling capability.
- Sound understanding of budgeting, cost control, and management accounting.
- Experience in agricultural or cost accounting is an added advantage.
