About the role
Ultimum Limited is a fast-growing beverage manufacturing company and a Nigerian-based subsidiary of Union Camerounaise de Brasseries. We are looking for a Utilities Maintenance Technician to ensure the continuous and efficient operation of our utility services. This full-time, on-site role is based in Aba, Abia.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on utility systems, including water distribution, gas lines, and electrical systems.
- Collaborate with other departments and external contractors to coordinate maintenance activities.
- Participate in breakdown analysis to prevent re-occurrence and optimize maintenance costs.
- Ensure maintenance actions are executed on time and in full (OTIF) according to standard procedures.
- Document maintenance and system performance records in SAP PM and offline logbooks.
- Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests and system failures.
- Execute technical work safely, complying with all safety rules and procedures.
- Participate in improvement teams to enhance utilities generation, distribution, and consumption efficiencies.
- Conduct inspections and diagnostics to identify and resolve issues in utility plants and equipment.
Requirements
- NABTEB or WAEC Technical qualification.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in production and maintenance roles, preferably in the food and beverage industry.
- Proven experience in utility maintenance or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of utility systems, including water, gas, and electrical systems.
- Ability to read and understand machine operations, maintenance manuals, and engineering documents.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and maintenance equipment.
- Basic use of MS Office and SAP PM documentation.
- Good communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.
