About the role
Ultimum Limited, a beverage manufacturing company and subsidiary of Union Camerounaise de Brasseries, is looking for a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee automation and electrical activities. You will lead a team responsible for the installation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of electrical systems and assets. This position requires strong leadership skills and a focus on safety and performance metrics.
Responsibilities
- Supervise electrical and automation maintenance activities and coordinate team resources.
- Lead the execution of planned and breakdown maintenance for electrical, instrumentation, and control systems.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for all automation and electrical assets.
- Conduct regular inspections and report on system performance and maintenance KPIs.
- Coordinate safety and technical training for mechatronics technicians and electrical personnel.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and material usage.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards such as HACCP and Machine Safety.
- Prepare regular status reports for management regarding system performance and project progress.
Requirements
- NABTEB, WAEC Technical, or OND in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in production and maintenance roles, preferably in the food and beverage industry.
- Expertise in electrical systems, automation, and control systems (PLC, SCADA, DCS).
- Experience in preventive and predictive maintenance, as well as focused improvement maintenance (FIM).
- Proficiency in SAP PM or other CMMS tools, and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to read design software such as AutoCAD.
- Strong team leadership and communication skills.
