About the role
Softhills Limited is seeking a dedicated Logistics Officer to join our team in Lagos. As a full-time, onsite position, this role is central to ensuring our supply chain operations run smoothly. You will help us support our ventures by managing logistics, warehouse operations, and transportation with a focus on efficiency and data-driven decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Analyze data to assess performance and implement process improvements.
- Direct, optimize, and coordinate the full order cycle.
- Resolve any arising problems or customer complaints.
- Monitor quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, and transport costs.
- Liaise and negotiate with suppliers, manufacturers, retailers, and consumers.
- Identify and partner with suitable logistic carriers, negotiating rates and contracts.
- Enforce industry regulations and quality standards in inventory management.
- Develop strong relations with shipping carriers and stay updated on routes and rates.
- Analyze stock patterns and anticipate inventory requirements using historical data.
- Prevent stock-outs and maintain product availability at all times.
- Promote a data-centric approach in inventory management.
- Strategically plan and manage logistics, warehouse, and transportation services.
- Source, recruit, and manage delivery agents to ensure top performance.
- Monitor inbound and outgoing deliveries.
Requirements
- BSc in Business Administration, Logistics, or Supply Chain.
- Proven working experience as a Logistics Manager.
- Record of successful distribution and logistics management.
- Excellent use of Excel and other Microsoft applications.
- Proficient in standard logistics software.
- Demonstrable ability to lead and manage staff.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects.
- Smart and innovative mindset.
- Added advantage if you can drive.
