About the role
Egbin Power Plc is one of the largest power generation facilities in Sub-Saharan Africa. Following its acquisition by the Sahara Power Group, the company is expanding its capacity and is now seeking a Logistic Manager to join the team in Ikorodu, Lagos. This is a non-technical position focused on ensuring the plant has the right materials in the right quality and quantity.
Responsibilities
- Manage shipping, transportation, and logistics arrangements for all procurement activities.
- Oversee third-party logistics service providers and evaluate freight forwarder proposals.
- Develop strategies to streamline processes and reduce logistics costs.
- Execute logistics plans for inbound and outbound spares to ensure timely delivery.
- Liaise with customs, port authorities, and relevant agencies for import clearances and statutory requirements.
- Perform data analysis and metrics reporting to identify process improvement opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with data protection laws (NDPR) and QHSE policies.
- Assist in the automation and integration of supply chain functions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Logistics, Business Administration, Transportation, or Engineering.
- Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in logistics, warehouse, or transportation operations.
- Strong knowledge of INCOTERMS, supply chain management, and regulatory norms on taxation and imports.
- Good negotiation skills and strong attention to detail.
- Post-graduate degree in a relevant field is an added advantage.
